My boyfriend and I are planning to move to Nashville, TN this will be our first move out of state. So in doing this should we look for jobs first or look for apartments first. Lets say that we get the job first then what live in a hotel until we find an apartment. Just a little confusing?

  1. 1-Find a job

2-Find a place to live, Apt, motel-extended stay

3-Check out places to live near the job

  2. Find a job first.  You can always find somewhere to live.  You need to have a way to pay for the apt when you do move as well

  3. Without jobs, it will be hard to rent an apt.  Get the jobs first.  You can always stay at an extended-stay hotel or rent by the week until you have employment.  This will also give you a chance to get to know the various neighborhoods and locate where transportation costs will be lower.

  4. i would go down there first and stay for a little bit to see if your even going to like it there. while your there you can drive

around and see what neighborhoods you like and how much

the rents are for what you want also what jobs are available.

if you find you like it there i would get a job first and if you can't find an apt. right away you could stay in a motel till you do.
