  1. With a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, most of your electives, or minors will be in the social science and humanities. With a Bachelor of Science, your courses outside your major would be in the area of pure sciences. So, it depends on what subjects you're good at, and what you hope to end up doing once you've finished your Bachelor's degree. I would definitely talk to an academic advisor to help you sort this out because it will make a big difference if you choose to go on and do your Masters degree.

  2. Anything involving the natural sciences is more apt to produce job opportunities than a strictly 'liberal arts/social science' degree can.

However, there is a vast range of possible answers to your question, and the question should be posed to your academic advisor, not this forum.  Different schools do things very differently and have different reasons for labelling degrees BA and BS.  If you don't get an adequate answer from your advisor, you should ask them who can answer your question more thoroughly. This is part of your professors' job descriptions, though it may be a hard question for them to answer. But, as a student, you are essentially, their employer, so you should recognize your right to demand help.
