I have asked questions on the probability of a second civil war, and then I wondered what would the effects be? how would it influence the world? what would happen to ordinary citizens? would we unite and form a government or would it become anarchy and the nation would be ran by hundreds of gangs and warlords. This is just a question I thought up out of couriosity, not out of hatred of my country or anything remotely like that.

So tell me what you think.

  1. There would be no distinct boundary and as such it would be crushed, initially, by a combination of military and Black water mercenaries in fairly short order- I guess that's why they've taken the trouble to build all those concentration camps I keep hearing about. An insurgency of citizenry would erupt in various regions over several years which would eventually mutate into a united effort to displace the government, who is after all, severely out numbered. After much bloodshed a new, more powerful constitution would be formed under the supervision of a Representative Democracy, one citizen, one vote, leaning heavily toward a more just form of socialism, wherein the welfare of the people and not Corporate interests come first. Americans will not suffer a loss of freedoms for long,of this I am certain. The worst of it, for a time, could involve some repressed racialism but that would not last long in light of the federal atrocities. While it remains highly unlikely the world is forever changing and future history will not change until certain fundamental human drives do. I had sort of  hoped for this in the 60's,really the early 70's but most of us knew better even then. When it became fashionable to look poor and appear to want for nothing of substance it seemed to work but only for a short time and only in a most anarchic way.

  2. Things would be dangerous of course. Crime would run rampant...i think the way the government is these days it would be pretty much impossible for a "civil war".

  3. IF THE GREED OF THOSE IN CONTROL CONTINUE THEIR SELFISH, SELF CENTERED WAYS, THEY COULD VERY WELL BE A CLASS WAR TYPE CIVIL WAR. IT WOULDN'T END IN ANARCHY. MY FEAR WOULD BE THAT IT WOULD RESOLVE ITSELF IN A MILITARY/INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX OLIGARCHY THAT PRES. EISENHOWER WARNED US ABOUT. THE PEOPLE PER SE WOULD NOT GAIN ANYTHING. THE WORLD WOULD BE WATCHING US LIKE A STARVING TIGER WATCHING AN INJURED ANIMAL. READY TO POUNCE AND RENDER US ASUNDER. AND I TOO MEAN NO DISRESPECT TO OUR NATION.
