What would be the legal result of a seventeen year old male from the UK having 'consented' s*x with a fourteen year old female in the state of Oregon?

Nothing has actually happened yet. The boy and girl met when the boy was in town on a business trip with his father and was out exploring the town as his father's work was getting done. I'm just a friend letting them know how it would play out if he got back to the states and they were planning to do something.

Well, the boy is underage in the eyes of the law, so, unless the girl claims that she was raped then the s*x is consensual and legal. It sounds like a bad situation and I think that the parents of both children should discuss matters before there's any taking of legal action.

According to Oregon laws, the crime would be considered Rape in the third degree which is a Class C felony because the victim is under 16 but over 14.

It is a defence that the actor was less than three years older than the victim at the time of the alleged offence.

He might want to check to make sure her birthday comes before his.

It's illegal.  He can face criminal charges.  The fact that he is also under 18 does not prevent him from being charged.
