What would be the most cost effective way for me to travel from Fairfax, VA to Burlington, VT?

I figured that it would take me about 6 tanks (RT) of gas to go to Vermont... and I have 1 adult passenger and 2 children. PLEASE HELP!?

  1. JetBlue Airways has service between Dulles and Burlington.  I would check their website for prices.  In all likelihood, the price of 4 tickets is going to be more than the gas.  The most cost effective method, in my opinion, is to just drive it.  On a positive note, gas prices in the Upstate New York-Vermont region have been slowly trickling down since they peaked at over $4 a gallon.
