A kindergarten teacher that had a huge impact on my daughter. I don't have a huge budget, not a lot of time because school is almost out, and I want it to be a touching gift. Also, she is pregnant and won't be teaching next year...I would like my gift/s to reflect a congratulations on her first babt. Any suggestions?

  1. this would be an awesome gift $33 from brighton.. it is a id bracelet that says believe in yourself.. you can tell her how she taught your daughter to believe in herself..

  2. As a teacher I am a big believer in letters.  For kindergarten that would mean as much of a card as you can cajole your daughter into making and a nice, specific letter from you.  Since most teachers save these it would be nice if you had some pretty stationary and maybe a photo to include.  If you want to include a gift too then a frame for the baby would be nice, especially if you refer to her being a teacher to your child and now to her own.

  3. You could buy a small canvas and ask your daughter to paint on it for the teacher. I am a teacher of many years and the gifts I remember most or have kept are all hand made. She could put the picture in the baby's room.

It's really cheering to hear that there are still parents out there who value good teachers.

  4. The best gift I got for my baby was a small blanket- I know that sounds very simple.  But, she is 6 now and still uses it.  Check it out at www.comfortsilkie.com.   I think if you added a note expressing how much she did for your daughter, that would mean alot more to her than something material.

  5. How about a subsrcription for one year to a magazine geared towards parenting?  Some suggestions might be Family Circle, Parents, Parenting or Family Fun.  This would give her reading material for the summer, plus get her ready for her upcoming new arrival.  This would be an inexpensive gift (ranging from $10-$20), would be a great monthly reminder of your daughter as she reads the magazine and would be simple on your part...I highly suggest the Parents Magazine...you can buy one at your local supermarket, roll it up and tie ribbons around it.  Add a little note card to the ribbons with a personal note or drawing from your daughter.  Have your daughter give it to her on the last day of school and ask her to write down her home address so you can start her new subscription.  Hope this helps!

  6. how about a really pretty and unique baby frame, that way when ever she looks at the frame she will remember your daughter?

  7. maybe buy her something for the baby or just a thank you and good luck card with a box of chocolates. its the thought that counts so it doesnt have to be much or expensive she will be very greatful whatever it is.

  8. Maybe a little toy or blanket for the baby. maybe some lap pads or dipers too. Also i would get her something for the baby and something for her such as a gift card to The Mall or something like that. I hope this helped!
