  1. you have to specify the gas. without which how can the details be given ? eg LPG cylinder will have it marked on it. (as the above answer says) it will be marked on the cylider if it contains any gas under pressure, precations of transport, type of gas etc.

  2. The pressure of the gas tank will be very high because the particles are in very distinct places and therefore can be easily compressed. and as the can be compressed, we compress them under negative temperature. when they come to normal temperature, they again get converted into gas and therefore exert more pressure on the walls of the tank.

  3. It would be marked on the tank (by law?)

  4. You mean an automotive gas tank? I think it's just designed to contain the gasoline vapors, which depend on ambient temperature. Probably 2-3 lbs above atmospheric.

  5. cooking gas liquefy under pressure, so a gas tank is mostly liquid and the rest is gas, as we use gas, the pressure inside falls and the liquid starts boiling, which increases the pressure in the tank, so when the tank is not used the pressure inside is exactly what is required to avoid additional liquid from boiling. this is not very high, but the fact is' i don't have the exact numbers.
