What would be the punishment or penalty for white collar crime of embezzlement of appxmtly 30,000?

apparently a friend of mine has been using a company credit card for her own use-shes worked there for over 12 years and might have been using it for years now! its a nursing home that she worked in and was the book keeper! she has no priors-except that years before she was released from a job at a bank for money missing-not sure if any charges were filed against her in that though!

hope she doesn't get in too much trouble. It depends a lot on the State, but if she's lucky she will only have to pay back the company and maybe pay a big fine. Otherwise, worst case, probably a year or two in minimum security.

Crimes of this nature are state sensitive in sentencing guide lines, however in Illinois it would be a class 2 felony punishable by 3 to 7 years in prison and no probation available, usually accompanied by restitution and a fine.~
