well. i myself do that with my girlfriend all the time. personally i use it as a sign of affection, although some of my friends would use it as a safe word so as not to mistakenly call you by a name other than your own due to cheating or wishing to be with someone else. I never call my girlfriend by her name. its always "honey or sweetheart". but like i said there are a few reasons it could be done. do you suspect a boyfriend may be cheating? if this is the only thing that may make you think that,  dont bet on it. just becuase he calls you honey instead of by your name, in no way means that he is cheating on you.

dnt alwayss assume cheating if there is another thing that it akward then assume but jus because he calls you honey dnt  get stressed till u got prooff

he's either being A| flirty or B| has more than one girl so he uses pet names so he doesnt get you all confused.
