I am 5'9", and weigh in at 237, though I am currently joined weight watchers and expect to loose enough weight to reach 185 by the end of the year.

So what kind of bike would best suit me for 185-190 weight range? I mainly will not be doing any of those crazy hill jumps or tricks...I'm 47...and don't want to die any time soon...hehehe..

Mainly this will be used to let me get into areas I want to rockhound in,..,.bring back some rocks in my backpack and get back to my truck....which is sadly 2wd....:(

  2. you should get a yz400f great power for the heavier people if ur interested ive been trying to sell mine

  3. I think that you should give yourself a few months to get fit and lose that weight before going shopping for a bike.  Am not trying to be cruel or rude but was at an event many years ago that was a hare scramble through bush.  Rules were slack at the time and anyone could get a day licence to race and this very very large man was trying to ride.  It was great he was having a go as he was about your age and wanted to do things with his son.  But it was very sad that he went home in an ambulance as he dropped the bike while not going very fast and broke his leg badly.

So keep going with the weight watchers and mainly get fit first so you don't get hurt.
