  1. you can put them in the bags because if you think of shipping fish, priority mail takes 3-4 days or more, and express takes 1 day, so they can be in the bags for more than 2 hours. I suggest loading them up in an insulated box, in bags, as if you were shipping them, and transport them that way. You can google shipping methods to see how to do this.

  2. i would birng your airpump and food then i would fiil a cooler with water and put them in there. while making pit stops take out the cooler and open it to give the fishes air.

edit use black garbage bags inside the cooler then put in the fishes.

  3. keep them in polystyrene boxes instead of bags, this will help to keep the temp constant. also research battery operated air pumps. they are available and will help.

  4. Go to Home depot, or Lowe's, and get 5 gallon white buckets.

  5. u should probably put lots of foam or cushon material arounf it and seal it top. or just take the fish out put them in buckets empty ur aquarium and take it wherever!

  6. Use black garbage bags inside a 5 gallon bucket. The black prevents light from being reflected from the white plastic, causing blindness.

The fish will be fine for the 5 hour drive, as long as you don't over stock the buckets. Use multiple buckets if you have to. If you are concerned about the o2 content of the water, and you should be. You can buy battery operated air pumps at the pet store. Just make sure to set up the aquarium as quickly and safely as possible when you get to your new place.

  7. Put the fish in individual bags of water and make sure to have just enough water to cover the fish, leave as much air in the bag as you can and if you can get oxygen in the bag all the better. Make sure to not feed the fish for two days before moving so that they do not pollute the water with their waste products.. Put the bags in a cooler or a Styrofoam box from your fish store (if they will give you one). I had some snails come form Holland and they took 8 days to arrive and they arrived alive and well.

  8. maybe put them in 5 gallon buckets i dont no sry. thats the only thing i could think of

  9. Don't try to move a fish tank with water in it, the glass will crack. The fish will be fine if you put them individually in large bags- gallon size Ziploc bags would be perfect. Pack the bags in a cooler; the weather is probably warm enough that you won't need heat packs. If you keep the gravel, filter media, and decorations wet you can set up your aquarium without having to cycle it again. A bucket of tank water would be good for this. By the way, I hope you're moving these fish permanantly and not just trying to take them on vacation with you.
