  1. You need to call your pediatrician and ask them, and probably take her in to be seen. Vomiting for that long can be serious, and she can get dehydrated. Stick to clear liquids and bland food like Saltines and toast.

  2. she's probably only stopped because her stomach is now empty

give her nothing creamy stick to clear liquids (or gatorade, life water, vitamin water, and propel they hydrate better than actual water) and broths for now

if she throws up again or refuses to eat then take her to the doctor or the ER asap as she could get dehydrated real quick and the doctors will be able to give her medicine to help her feel better and figure out why she is vomiting

  3. Let her suck on ice chips. If she can hold the water down, then stick to clear liquids until you are sure she can hold that down. My mother used to give me unset jello (liquid)to sip on. The sugar will give her some energy and she needs liquids. If she can hold that down you can give her some dry toast. I wouldn't give her anything too rich or spicy. In her situation, even creamy soup or tomato soup might be too rich/spicy.

  4. stick to clear things.  Jello, broth things like that.

  5. Give her small sips of something like Gatorade or a Pedialyte drink.  Those will hydrate better than water.  Let her take a few small sips, then see if she'll hold it down.  Wait about 15 minutes, and give her another few small sips.  I have found if you let them drink a bunch at once it'll come back up if they're still nauseous.  Waiting 10-15 minutes between sips helps to make sure some of it gets absorbed.

I wouldn't have her take tomato soup or creamy soup until she's able to hold down Pedialyte.  They tend to acidify pretty quickly in the stomach and might come back up faster.  If she's hungry and really wants something, I'd give her a small square of toast with nothing on it.  If she has to have something on it, use a little smear of jam.  Putting butter or any fat on it will make it take longer to digest.

I've done this with all three of my children, and we've avoided ever having to take them to the ER for dehydration. It's important to watch them like a hawk, because kids can go downhill fast.  If she can't keep anything down today, by tonight I'd take her to the dr.  If she can't eat, that's one thing, but she has to take liquid.  If she goes much longer without being able to keep any liquid down at all, take her in.
