2 sloggers at the top of the order can try and make the most of the PowerPlays at the start of the innings, the worlds best batsmen to come in at 3, then 3 consolidating players to steady the ship (if needed) Freddie to slog at the end, and we have a huge batting line-up incase of a collapse. 4 top quality seam bowlers and the solid bowling of Swann to take the wickets. I would say a fit and ready Steve Harmison would be the only improvement on this squad.

Having two sloggers ta the top never works.

You need the class and traditional batting style of Ian Bell, with Mustards raw talent and power (he never got a fair chance, becasue he's a good gloveman aswell)

I think Bopara deserves a shot, he's great in domestic cricket, and he provides a good balnce of orthodox and unorthodox.

Power hitting at the end of the inning from Flintoff and Dimi Mascarenas.

The magic 3 bowlers re-united - Flintoff, Harmy and Jones. They're all in fantastic form and they deserev be thrwon straight back into the team infront of the steady boring Sidebottom.

Anderson provides swing, andf there's enough batting not to need an ok spinner who bats a bit, so play with the good spinner of Monty Panesar!
