What would be your choice of floor covering?

Question

For my family room, dinning room, bedrooms and hallway.

I was thinking laminated wood floor till I saw Parquet wood tile.

Which one would you pick. Would Parquet Tile add more value to my property?

Hardwood Flooring is generally thought to be more valuable, however it is also more expensive. If you really like the parquet look, but would like to stick with a laminate, there are brands out there that carry parquet style laminate flooring. You should just search around, and find the product you like best that fits your budget. Focus more on making it a home for yourself, not for someone that may live there in years to come.

Personally, I like parquet and have oak in the dining room and halls.

As for real estate value though it is hard to say. Real wood is more valuable than laminate but parquet is not very popular in residences as it is often associated with commercial construction.

If you are not going to sell any time soon put in what you LIKE.

You can get parquet in laminate also.
