What would cause North Korea to nuke...?

South Korea?

I have a history project due in a couple of days and I have to predict what would happen if North Korea nuked South Korea.

But,

first I need to know:

-What would cause North Korea to nuke South Korea in the first place?

Any suggestions? Please? :)

invasion from the USA would cause NK to use every thing they got.

and the usa will not invade NK anytime soon because with out NK, she have no real reason to be in east asia.

she need to be here to keep her eye and weapons close to her real target.(china)

i don't think NK will every nuke SK or japan because they don't have one yet.

the last time was a clear answer, they fell on the test, and they don't even dare to do another test!

they simply don't have a right technology to make the bomb.

North Korea was spanked pretty hard a couple of years back for shooting test missiles over Japan. I remember there was a request by Beijing for a meeting and North Korea's leader dutifully went and came out smiling and shaking hands a day later or so with the leaders of China.

I really don't think it will happen in a nuclear attack more of a conventional attack.

Doesn't make sense to nuke the southern end and get a northern wind and kill yourself.

In conclusion China would command the situation and solve the conflict.

I dont think its going to happen, they looked pretty stupid when the said "they were a nuclear power" and everything they did was pretty much a dud. But as far as recent news goes the world settled down with everything and they started to dismantle there nuclear sites. North Korea wants to cooperate with the world so I dont think anyones going to have to worry about them anytime soon
