What would cause a 1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD engine to miss?

it has bout 80,000 miles and it only misses in the afternoon

why would it do this?

and how much would it usually cost to get it fixed?

Try new spark plugs and wires, if you do this yourself, remember to "gap" the plugs. It's not too expensive, probably under 150.00

could be a few things:

tune up- cap rotor plugs wires(except if its distrutorless then just plugs wires!)

cracked head/ blown head gasket/ burnt valve or piston/ broken ring, loss of compresion in that cylinder

if it has a coil pack- bad coil to that cylinder

i even heared of fuel mixtures causing cars to miss (to rich/lean)

hopefully its not the aluminum head!

start w/ a tune up, looks like it is distributorless, wires are around $34 plugs are $2 each
