What would cause my amp to drain my battery?

when i leave my amp hooked up it drains my battery. help! what causes this?

Uhh, the amp uses power so.....I'm not sure what you don't understand.

Try it with the car running as the alternator is the power plant of the car.

Make sure the remote turn on wire at the amp is NOT connected to a constant pwr source.

Connect remote line to amp turn on lead of radio. If there is no amp turn on connect it to an acc pwr
