What would cause my dreams to change?

My dreams used to be random.

They had a loose plot to them, but i would always wake up thinking..Where did that come from!!!

But lately everything i do directly affects my dreams.

I watch i tv programme, some of the characters are in my dream

I talk to my friend about her pregnancy and someone in my dream is pregnant. And so on

What would cause this difference? Why does my life suddenly orchestrate my dreams?

  1. Hmmmmmm dreams change according to your state of mind, appears that you get emotionally envolved and that is affecting and  disturbing your peaceful sleep.

  2. Dreams come from your sub-conscious mind, so whatever is on your mind you will dream about. Usually whatever is on your mind before you go to sleep affects what you dream about. Keeping a diary of your dreams can help. As soon as you wake record everything you remember from your nights dream. It is thought that doing this will make your conscious mind more cognoscente of the activities of your sub-conscience eventually achieving a point at which you have lucid dreams. Basically a lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress, also known as a conscious dream. At this point you can control your dreams and dream about anything you can imagine. Sounds super cool but I'm not sure its actually possible to achieve oneness of the conscious and sub-conscious mind and maintain sanity as well. But give it a try and let me know how it goes.

  3. so think of some guy ur in love with and have yuor way

  4. I'm not really sure, but it could be what you eat before you go to sleep. All i know is that if you want weird dreams, eat american cheese. =D

  5. Your just like me. This is what I do, get a dream diary and a dream book then you can work out what everything means. Its great fun as well xx

  6. If your particularly good at concentrating on things like say your favourite movie or a conversation with your best friend, almost certainly you will be more likely to dream about it that same night.  If you would rather have random dreams not related to your day then I suggest that you have a period of winding down and relaxing before bed and don’t eat cheese or drink coffee.  You need to try and clear your mind.

As we age the way our dreams form changes also, our minds mature and hold much more information to draw on.  When I was a child most of my dreams were random and imaginative because I had few worries and tended not to mull over things but adults do this and that will cross over into your dreams.  You will also usually have more than one dream a night but its usually the last one you remember more detail from.

  7. Maybe when you had random dreams you had a lot on your mind. Now that you don't have so much on your mind(maybe) your brain is absorbing more things you see and think about.
