we have already had the o2 sensor changed twice in a few wks. the engine light comes on only when we turn the a/c on and when it does the car trys to stall out when put in gear and idleing. keep in mind the car has been in an accident before we got it and has had a new front end put on it.

  1. what about fuel or air filters have you run any fuel treatment thu it

  2. it sucking air somewhere...check intake and head gasketS....look for a vacum leak//good luck

  3. id look for a pinch spot in a wire or a bad connection around where the 0-2 sensor hooks up,if a universal 0-2 was used this could be caused by a bad splice in a wire or a loose connection on it,thats the most common cause for one to still show bad after replacing them,i try and stay away from universal ones if possible because you have to splice those in and on original ones they just plug right in,good luck.

  4. This may have to go to a professional to fix, likely you need to monitor the O2 sensor output in real time and verify that it is switching, sometimes a poor ground will cause the O2 sensor signal to be off, and the computer will fault the O2 ,circuit or even the  O2 heater circuit. A careful inspection of the wiring harness may indicate a faulty repair or splice where it should not be.
