What are the different scenarios that could cause the crash in Madrid? Apparently, the plane veered right just after takeoff.

  1. From what I've read it sounds like one of the two engines on the plane exploded just after takeoff.

  2. there was a fire in one of the engines causing the plane to go of course

  3. It is far too early to speculate on what caused the crash in Madrid. It is best to wait for the investigation to be completed.

    Some possibilities would be:

    1) Early rotation and stall causing the right wing to drop and strike the ground.

    2) Number 2 engine failure/fire without sufficient airspeed to maintain directional control of the aircraft.

    3) Uncommanded flight control deflection.

I am not familiar with the flight characteristics of the MD-80 series aircraft, so I cannot really speak from experience. Let's just wait for the final results of the investigation before we start speculating on what happened.

  4. Far too early to speculate.  About all anyone can say for sure is that something happened during take-off.

The best way to find out what caused an accident is to wait for the official report, but that can take months or years, and by that time the media machine has lost interest.  Dirty laundry is more important than hard facts.

  5. The conservative party in Spain named "Partido Popular" assures that E.T.A. (Terrorists from the Basque Country) have something to do with the crash.

OK it's false, but they would love to say that!

They are obsessed with terrorism to the point that a lot of people think that they created E.T.A. to have the possibility to be obsessed by it and put themselves as the only victims and the only solution to stop it.
