What would cause the windshield wiper blades to stop in a vertical position when you turn off the windshield wiper motor switch?

  1. if they stop in the same spot each time check the motor- if they stop in no particular spot check the wiring, relay/controller and switch(es) on the negative side. of course check fuses/fusible wires and current on the positive side,too.
