What would deep sea creatures look like near the surface?

After watching Blue Planet (amazing show) and its showcase of bioluminescent organisms, I wondered how they would look on the surface, or maybe even on the shores (simliar to how jellyfish wash up on the shores.) Would they just look transparent? I really don't know much about them. Can someone explain for me please?

  1. most deep sea fish are kind of a pinkish color.. or silvery

    is that's what you're asking

  2. Like you said, they would look transparent.  They would most likely lose the bioluminesense activity though as they would die at the surface.
