  1. they would suture it back into place or make some sort of prosthesis

  2. If possible, they would use your f******n. It would work but you would be co*keyed.

  3. As awful as it sounds, I've seen this before. I was at China's largest eye hospital, and a few people had had their eyelids completely burned off in industrial accents (acid spills and such).

As much as I think the above poster was joking about the "f******n"/"********" thing, he's pretty close to the right answer. An oculoplastic surgeon -- basically an ophthalmologist plastic surgeon -- will try to either make something out of the remaining lid tissue, or do a graft of other skin. I've seen skin from the ear area used before, but I imagine pretty much any skin would work. They might need to do a mucous membrane graft, such as from the inside of the cheek, for the inner surface of the lids that contacts the eye itself.

In the meantime, the eyes are typically covered and kept well lubricated, because dry eyes can get infected or scar. Once the grafts are completed, it's not unusual for the new 'eyelids' to be stitched together, at least partially, for several months which things heal properly.

  4. i think they'd either take your eyes out too, or sew them back on if you have them
