  1. try ribs with mashed potatoes n veges in cream sauce.........yum! :)

  2. Well, seems like "red meat" has the big vote here!  But, i'm thinking that you've probably been cooking steak for him quite a bit, so here are some other ideas:

    1.  Swedish meatballs and buttered noodles, fresh green beans with bacon and onion, fresh fruit salad.

    2.  Meatloaf, mashed potatos, fresh asparagas

    3.  Roasted chicken with herbs and lemon; wild rice pilaf, glazed carrots with candied ginger.

    4.  Shrimp Scampi over linguini; chopped salad with sliced ripe pears, gorgonzola, and candied walnuts in a champagne vinagrette.

    5.  Pork Roast rubbed with sage, kosher salt, and fresh ground pepper.  Deglaze pan afterwards with white wine and dijon mustard.  Simmer until reduced and spoon on slices of pork.  Serve with fingerling potatos tossed with olive oil, kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, lemon juice, and thyme and fresh asparagas with lemon butter.

    6.  Spaghetti and Meatballs, green salad, warm french bread

Don't forget dessert, which is really important to the guys:

    1.  Apple Pie

    2.  Vanilla cinnamon crumb cake

    3.  Chocolate lava cakes

    4.  Creme brulee

    5.  White chocolate raspberry cheesecake

    6.  Brownies with chocolate ganache

For some great recipes, google my cookbook:  Jenny's Kitchen Cabinet.

P.S.  I'm sure that your boyfriend is really delighted that you want to cook for him and are putting in the effort to make him happy!

  3. his favorite food...duh?

  4. Ok, of course grilled steak with loaded baked potato & salad & nice bread & wine.  My husband would love for me to make fried pork chops, mashed potato & gravy, macaroni & cheese, corn & green beans & salad & biscuits.  Don't know where you are from but fajita's are really good & fun, even more fun with a margarita.  I could type this recipe but I'm going to give you the web site, http://www.cooking-mexican-recipes.com/c...  I will always use this recipe until someone convinces me otherwise.  And always spaghetti or lasagna with salad & garlic bread, wine & a light desert.

  5. How about a nice London broil  either grilled  on the BBQ or broiled under the broiler.  Along with some mashed potatoes and corn. You could also make some garlic bread. Also a nice green salad

  6. well it depends how much time do you have to spend on this meal, me personaly love my gf to cook steak if you have like a hr or so here is a great recipe it called Grilled Flank Steak with Ginger Marinade

1 (5-inch) piece ginger, sliced thinly

    1/4 cup sesame oil

    8 medium garlic cloves, smashed

2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice

    1 tablespoon honey

    2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 1/2 pounds flank steak, trimmed of fat and sinew

In a nonreactive dish or large resealable plastic bag, combine all ingredients except steak and mix thoroughly. Add steak and turn to thoroughly coat. Cover dish or close bag and allow to marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. (If you are making ahead, cover, and place in refrigerator. Can be marinated up to 24 hours in refrigerator.)

Once steak has marinated, remove from refrigerator and bring to room temperature for at least 15 minutes. Heat a lightly oiled grill pan to medium-high heat. When pan is heated, remove steak from marinade, shake off excess, add to pan and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes per side for medium rare.

Transfer to a cutting board, season with additional salt and freshly ground black pepper and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Slice thinly across the grain and serve.

  7. If your guy likes fish, you could make Salmon.  I have a Salmon recipe that makes my husband cover me in kisses every time I make it.  PLUS, it only takes a few minutes.  Here it is:

    2 salmon steaks

1/8 cup loosely packed parsley leaves

1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves (1 teaspoon if you use fresh)

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1 large garlic clove, peeled

    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

    1/2 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard

1/8 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper (black pepper is ok too)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into 8 pieces

Add parsley, rosemary and salt to cuisinart/food processor.   Process on Chop for 20 seconds.  Add remaining ingredients except butter. Process on Chop to blend well, about 30 seconds.  Scrape sides of  prep bowl, but leave ingredients in the bowl.  Add butter and process on Grind to cream, about 30 seconds.  Spread creamy mixture on top of salmon.  I also sprinkle capers on top.  Broil in the broiler for about 7-10 minutes depending on how cooked you like it to be.  Be careful not to overcook.

As a side, I sometimes make rice or get a bag of mixed vegetables from the frozen food section at the grocery store and heat them up.

    Tastes like heaven.

If you don't have a food processor, no worries, just mix and chop by hand.  It doesn't take long.

For desert, make homemade chocolate chip cookies.

  8. Meat. Red meat. STEAK. :) Prime ribs.

  9. Pasta is always a way to a man's heart! But here's a good recipe for meatloaf.

    http://food.yahoo.com/recipes/martha-ste...

With pasta I like to put in shrimp or scallops but if he's a sausage guy I love the Hormel sausages cut real thin. Have fun!

  10. Ribs or some burgers or steak.

  11. well I'm hispanic,So theirs this plate called camarones a la diabla.

What that is cooked shrimp w/ butter and some spicyness add to it.

Then you cook a white rice w/ a lil flavor and add sour cream on the side girl its so delicious. Its my husband favorite food.

    Ingredient:

    1pd of peeld shrimp

    1/4 butter

salsa (salsa de pato) its a spicy tomatoe sauce

1 cup of white rice of course w/ a lil knorr

    --------------------------------------...

On the pan you first put the butter to melt then you put the shrimps in.

wait atleast 5mins and add the sauce...then let them get soft and tender.once their soft then its ready..

    On the rice

first put some butter to melt as well then add the 1cup of rice

mix it well then add 2 cups of hot water or just water.

let it boil and then add the knorr and set it to low.

in 25mins the rice should be ready and good to serve...

  12. Why a Roast of course!

You cannot go past a delicous Roast Lamb and Mint Gravy with small portions of Baked Potato, Pumpkin, Kumara, Parsnip, Carrot

    with

    Cauliflour Au Gratin

    and Peas and Corn

and if ya gotta have desserts

Hot Sticky Date pudding and Icecream

Of course, after all that, ya too full to think about other deserts.

  13. My boyfriend usually likes: chicken parm, steak, burgers, or spaghetti and meatballs. He also loves cookies, so those are a must every once in a while.

I would recommend going to either allrecipes.com or foodnetwork.com for recipes. Make sure to read the feedback on allrecipes.com (at the bottom of recipe pages) to see what other people have tried/failed at making with that recipe.
