What would happen??? answers from UK only please ?

can any one tell me what would happen if money was being transfered into my bank account from ireland if i did not give IBAN and BIC.

last time i did this i needed my iban num! i have both euro and sterling accounts ans currently live in the rep of ireland!

I've UK and Irish accounts too,I've only ever transfered money from UK to Ireland though.But I always needed IBAN for that so I presume it works both ways

Nothing as the UK and irish system is designed to operate in close approximation

Nothing as Ireland is in the EU I'm not shore about southern Ireland. I have had my wages transferred from from a Northern Ireland bank to HSBC on the main land no problem.
