If i have two car batteries and connect a y cable to the positive sides of each battery and with another y cable i connect the two negative sides, could i use the power for both batteries at the same time if i connect the two open ends? will this multiply the voltage and watt out-put? serious answers only please, thanks.

  1. As a supplement to the first answer, if the batteries are different charges, they will even out charge (so both have the same), then used together, they will add wattage at the same voltage to deliver more power.


  2. As long as the two batteries are the same voltage, this is a recognised way of connecting the batteries together to improve the power. It is called connecting in parallel. The voltage will stay the same but the power will increase. The combination of two batteries together will be able to deliver more current so it would be able to start a bigger engine than a single battery.

    The Watts have gone up but the Volts have stayed the same.

  3. its multiply the voltage but its not compatible with your gadgets.its a high level of voltage and it will make an flammable results.
