Would they treat us like we treat them? would they produce news papers and goverment leaflets in English? would we be able to buy English bread? and buy English cigarettes from under the counter at dodgy newsagents? could we all work for cash and not pay tax? My wife is Polish and her parents live with us! we have two kids,ect... I am just wondering what would happen if the boot was on the other foot! I am not a racist or ignorant, just wondered what other people think. thanks for your time

  1. It's like going to Montreal, they have the "language Police" and are extremely unfriendly to English speaking patrons.  You can't even have english printed on a story front that exceeds a cerain size. All this ina coutny that is English speaking but does maintian two languages, Which is no problem, its' the dissrespect they give English that pisses me off...

  2. That will only happen when Poland becomes economically strong and England turns into a third world shithole. Shouldn't be long now.

  3. I know EXACTLY what you mean I think the same thing about the millions of people that sneak over from mexico!

  4. Fish and chips with sausage

  5. Yes, because small businesses like corner shops have to compensate for their higher prices, compared to supermarkets, by offering specialised goods. It's a case of supply and demand.

This can reach absurd lengths. A local shop offers "Iranian, Polish and Continental Food" on their Shopfront. I chuckle every time I see it.

  6. Many bars even have 'No English' signs. F*ck em. We are morally superior, and deep down they know it, despite the moaning. :)

  7. The same situation is happening with Mexicans and other groups in the US, and Turks in Germany and Denmark. It used to be that immigrants learned the new language and adapted to their new country's culture. Now everyone expects the new home to conform to their own language and culture. It's another symptom of the selfishness and self-absorbtion that is taking over the world.

  8. Most certainly mate.  You could sell "English sausages"
