  1. Mayweather is bigger, stronger and has a better defense, pacquiao's wild punching style would not be effective against someone like floyd, because floyd would be able to handle manny's power and counter him effectively to gain an easy UD if not a KO

  2. Mayweather would  probably win b/c of size and strength issues, but I think Cotto is the reason that Mayweather kept moving up in weight and the sole purpose for his retirement

  3. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. would most likely knock Manny Pacquiao out.  If Ricky Hatton couldn't last against Mayweather, then I have no doubt that Pacquiao couldn't last against Mayweather.  Floyd would counter Manny's attack easily and even if he did get caught with Pacquiao's best punch, he would not go down because Floyd has taken the best that guys like Oscar De La Hoya, Diego Corrales, Zab Judah, Ricky Hatton, and Jose Luis Castillo have to offer, and all of those guys hit harder in their primes than Pacquiao does.  Yes, Floyd started out as a super featherweight (130 pounds), where Manny is currentlly champ, but what they forget is that Pacquiao started out as junior flyweight (108 pounds)!  The size differential has always been too big and it would show if they ever fought (and I don't think they will because Floyd has "retired" and Manny may fight Oscar De La Hoya).  Size matters in boxing, and the better skilled bigger fighter will always beat a skilled smaller fighter, and Floyd has always been the better skilled fighter regardless of weight.  Pacquiao is a great fighter, but in terms of skill, Floyd is lightyears ahead of him and would outbox and school Pacquiao before knocking him out.  If Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales could back Manny up and almost beat him (in the case of Morales, he DID beat him in their first fight), then what do you think a true welterweight would do to him?  Its an obvious answer that I have already fully explained.
