What would happen if I launched a model rocket over water

Question

Ok, so, if i got my model rocket with say a A engine tro a C engine not multi stage just like 1 launch retrieve it anbother launch etc etc. If i got and inertube, and placed a piece of cut plywood over the inertube, and put the whole launche set like the ,metal rode, tripod, etc etc, would it launch ok, also, if it landed in the water (witch it probaly will) will that damage my rocket in any way

If your rocket gets wet it will affect the structural integrity adversely, unless your rocket is made of plastic.
