Question:

What would happen if I made Rice Krispie squares with peanut butter instead of marshmellow?

  1. you'd have to tweak the recipe a bit (see link below), but you'd basically be making scotcheroos without the chocolate topping.

    you can substitute marshmallow fluff for regular marshmallows (i've found that they don't hold together quite as well, but you can give it a try).

  2. That seems like it would be a lot of peanut butter.  If you just want the taste of PB, then I would try adding 1/2 cup of PB to the regular recipe.  

    I think that the marshmallow is a key ingredient to the recipe.  I would definitely leave it in.

  4. You still have to use marshmellos, but if you mix peanut butter into the melted marshmellows before mixing it with the Rice Krispies.

    I've never had it like that, whenever my mom adds peanut butter she uses cherios instead of Rice Krispies though. It tastes soooo good. I prefer that over regular Rice Krispies. You should try it.
