What would happen if a business was shutdown?

what if the place was petsmart and it was sutdown becuase the health department made it shutdown due to health reasons, what would happend to the workers would they still get payed even tho they get payed hourly?

Hourly workers (unless unionized,  and these folks are not) are paid only for the hours they work.  If they have accrued vacation time, they could claim that.  Unfortunately, they probably just need to find other jobs.

that would be at the discretin of the management.

if ind it unlikely petsmart is getting shut down anywhere - they keep minimal if any pets in house, they just have toys and supplies, and everyone I have ever been in (at least 30 of them) has been spotless and immaculately managed.
