What would happen if a hurricane ever got to a Cat. 6?

What do you expect?  It would cause widespread catasptrophic damage and much loss of life.

cat 6... i didn't know that there was such a thing...  i had to edit my previous posting because i was certain that cat 6 didn't exist.

i lived in homestead and new orleans, and was fortunate to miss andrew and katrina, respectfully.  but, i saw firsthand the devastation that andrew caused four days after it hit...

wow...

i survived a cat 3 and it was no joke...

a cat 6 would wipe clean whatever it touched...

The wind would blow a little harder... it's possible, and it will probably eventually happen.  If it hit a populated area, it would cause considerable damage.  If it hit an area with no development, then there would be little or no loss.
