What would happen if a nuclear bomb detonated in the middle of a hurricane?

  1. I believe the hurricane would dissipate and the water in it would turn to steam.  Then we would have a serious problem with fallout.


  2. It wouldn't do anything to the hurricane, hurricanes are far more powerful than nuclear weapons. And the hurricane wouldn't effect the nuclear weapon either. The only real difference was that of it was a ground burst, the hurricane would, pick up huge amounts of radioactive fallout and scatter it far and wide. Much more so than if the ground burst happened under normal weather conditions.
