  1. In the animal world, animals rarely become obese. Mostly humans, cats, dogs, rats, anything domesticated become obese. Whales in general donot eat sharks, they mostly eat plankton or krill. In the case of a killer whale, or Orcas, they aren't actually whales, they're related to dolphins. If a whale was capable of eating a whale it would simply eat what it could and leave behind what it could not.

Most animals aren't gluttons as human beings are.

  2. Actually there are two kinds of whales. Toothed whales and baleen whales. Both whales aren't specialized shark  killers, but  an Orca is able to  kill  a shark because of its speed and strength.

People say  that  Orcas aren't whales, but believe it or not, dolphins are considered toothed whales as well. Toothed whales like the Orca, hunt in pods after much larger, plankton feeding whales, like blue whales. Despite the blue whale's size Orca's have been known to hunt  and kill them as food. Another  very familiar toothed whale is the sperm whale. It  hunts  giant  squid in the deeper parts of the ocean. They can dive as deep as 2,200 meters and hold their  breath for up to 90 minutes.

Baleen whales, such as the blue whale, are plankton feeders and are considered prey to some of their toothed whale cousins. Blue whales can grow to  a length of 115 feet and weigh over 200 tons. Another example of a baleen whale is the humpback whale. It is also  a plankton feeder (as are all baleen whales). They can reach to a   length of 50 feet and weigh as much as 80,000 pounds.

As said before in these posts, only domestic animals are able to get obese because of  the junk food that humans  give them. Humans could probably be considered some of the biggest slobs in the animal kingdom. Pigs are actually pretty neat animals. They only role in the mud because they do not have sweat glands to produce sweat, so they roll in the mud to cool off. Without any baths, showers, or any other of those kinds of apliances, our species will be the true slobs of the animal kingdom. Just  think about that.

P.S.- If a baleen whale  attempted  to swallow a shark whole, despite the whale's size, it  would suffocate because  its  small asophogus is used to  plankton sized animals going down its throat, not a large great  white shark. And it wouldn't be possible for a shark to  simply just slide down  a toothed whale's mouth. Just like any other mammal, the whale will still have to chew it up before it swallows it. But, that  is very unlikely for  a toothed whale to even attack  a shark. They would only attack  a shark if a member of their pod was in trouble. There is no other reasons why they would attack one.

  3. my two guesses:

Depending if shark is still in mouth.

Shark bites whale's tongue, whale opens mouth, shark swims out.

    If swallowed.

    Shark dies.

  4. It's impossible.  Even if a whale was big enough to eat a shark and was hungry enough to do it, it would not be able to because of its teeth.  A whale's teeth aren't like human teeth.  A whale's teeth are specifically designed to only let in small animals like krill and small fish.  Making the digestion of a shark completely impossible.

Watch finding nemo and you'll see what I mean.

  5. All at once? In a day? Either way, the whale probably won't feel very good. Sharks are big.
