What would happen if a person without depression took anti-depressiant pills?

  1. It depends on the person and the medication.  There are many different kinds of anti-depressant medications, and different meds work differently in different people.  Some meds would make a person feel euphoric, like really super happy.  Others would have a detrimental effect, like making the person extremely depressed.

    And almost all medications of this sort have some kind of side effects, that would probably affect a non-depressed person the same as a depressed person.


  2. Not good stuff =].  It's never good to tamper with medications you don't need.  It may lower the hormones that cause depression, because if a person that had depression had those hormones elevated im guessing you would want to lower them to put them in the "normal" range.
