If it was the FIFA World Cup, teams would play 30 minutes of extra time, followed by a penalty shoot-out should the extra time period also fail to find a winner.

What is the procedure in rugby union?

  1. Sudden death I suppose!

  2. Two halves of 10 minutes each. If still a draw after that, sudden death where any point wins the game.

  3. This was mooted on TV last night when England, (Miracle of Miracles) beat France.

10 mins each way, then sudden death - first team to score points if still a draw after the extra 20 mins.

  4. 10 mins of extra time each way.  Followed by kicks.

  5. If still no win after exert time it will go to Sudden death - if the scores are tied at the conclusion of extra time, and following an interval of 5 minutes, then a further extra time of 10 minutes maximum shall be played. During this period the first Team to score any points shall be declared the winner (sudden death) - if after this sudden death period no winner can be declared, a kicking competition will be organised between the two Teams as The winner of that competition shall be declared.
