The third guy tells all. Exploding a bomb is not going to do anything. It may break up the storm but there is a 99.99% chance that it will re-form. Hurricanes are made because of warm ocean waters so maybe in the future they would have some kind of machine that explodes ice all over town or something. That would make the ocean too cold and the hurricane would completely die out in a matter of minutes.

It's nonsense and I don't believe in it.

Yep, pretty much nothing.

Hurricanes build up there strength from the warm ocean water in the tropics, the longer they stay over the warm ocean water the more powerful they become. So if you explode a bomb, smart or not, inside a hurricane just about nothing would happen, you would theoretically increase the strength of the hurricane by an extremely small amount. The thing that would theoretically decrease a hurricane's strength would be to explode some kind of cold or freeze bomb inside the hurricane and then the heat energy it had sucked up from the ocean would be cooled and decreased.

This has been talked about for years.The Chinese Government has experimented with controlling the weather with bombs.If you search it you will see that twice during the Olympics the Chinese claim they broke up two bad thunderstorms,that would have disturbed the games.For as long as I have been alive this scenario comes up every time there is a major storm.The United States doesn't beleive in the practice.I don't think there is a bomb powerful enough to break up Gustav enough to keep it from re-forming or the fallout hurting the environment.
