What would happen if everyone in the country flushed at once?

Please, I only want logical answers. This is a serious question. Will anything happen?

  2. I would think we would have a back up of water.

    All the water at once will eventually meet.  It would be like a flood in the pipes.  But it will take a little time to pass it all through.  And that would be it.

    Maybe an old pipe would burst.

  3. I really doubt it.  A lot of thought goes into design of sewer systems.  And also, there is no doubt a different delay for each toilet before the flushed hits the sewers.

    Maybe if everyone flushed about a thousand times in a row at the same time, stuff would back up.

  5. this happens during the Superbowl halftime. across the US there have been major water line breaks during the halftime flush.

    some cities put on call extra water company people on Superbowl day.

    Los Angeles Calif is one of these
