my dvd component went off and i noticed the fuse is blown at specs of 110V, 1amp.

what will happen if i have to install the fuse that i have now rated at only 250V, 1Amp. I tried already with diff electronic store but they don't have any fuse rated at 110V its only at 250V. any advise may help a lot.

  1. You are using a higher voltage rated fuse in place of the 110V. Nothing wrong with that. The current is what you need to be the same. Also, make sure it is fast blow or slow blow, etc. The letters on the fuse matter alot. They should be the same letters or equivalant ratings.  as far as worrying about the plugging into 220V, you only plug it into 110V. The plug dictates that.

  2. Never use a fuse other than the recommended type.  Serious damage can/will occour.

  3. It won't matter. A fuse is a current device, not voltage.

1 amp is 1 amp no matter what.

  4. The Fuse blow Because there was some wrong with the dvd player.by putting a bigger fuse in it, you have a good chance of starting a fire.radio shack should have the right fuse.

  5. wont matter
