  1. If the bird is fully feathered, it's a fledgling.  Baby birds leave the nest (fledge), before they can fly.  They are supposed to be on the ground.  The parents feed them.

As long as it is uninjured, you should not be feeding it, and you should not bring it into your home.   Let it's parents care for it, and keep your distance.  You shouldn't be anywhere near the bird, for any reason.   If you haven't seen the parents, it's because you are preventing it.

It's illegal to possess native wild birds, their eggs, nests, or even feathers, without a specific wildlife license.   All birds in the US and Canada (and most other developed countries), are protected by law.   No one is permitted to keep native wild birds, including crows - as pets.

Please respect nature, and allow the parents to care for their own baby.  That's the best place for it. The adults consider you to be a threat.  They will not come near, while you are there.

If you want to help the bird, ask your neighbors to keep their cat(s) indoors.

  2. no it wont, it would be like keeping an ordinary bird, u should get a big cage 4 it if u plan 2 keep it

  3. Where are its parents? They should be taking care of it. How old is it? If it's feathered, try leaving it outside and watch it from around the corner or in the house, for at least fifteen minutes, to see if its parents ever come near it. If they've shown some reluctance it may be because they know you're nearby.

Don't bring it in your house; if the parent birds aren't around then you need to take it to a wildlife rehabilitator, because it is illegal to keep a wild animal.

  4. well................................i don't think a crow would make a good pet, although i could be wrong (I'm probably not though) how do you know it CANT FLY YET, throw it up in the air in a week. if he/she can fly then would be the time to find out. if she can she will fly gracefully away from you if she cant..............................hmmmmm... wear a catchers mitt. the cats will undoubtedly find this interesting.
