  1. what a good idea, i think it will be great if you add 2 more eggs and 3/4 cup evaporated milk  i wonder what will happen if you add a container of pudding to it, just joking, lol.

  2. Don't forget that yellow cake mix is made to rise and brownie mix stays about the same.  Evaporated milk can usually be substituted in baking but remember that brownies do no call for milk, nor does already prepared cake mix. Good luck!

  3. Do it if it blows your skirt up.

    It can't hurt to try.

  4. i think it would be better to follow the cake box directions because brownies call for less eggs than the cake does, making the brownies thicker than the cake. If i were you, like i said, i would opt to follow the cake directions and use more eggs because you want your "dessert" to be even. I suggest you marble the two using a knife blade in a figure eight pattern to make it pretty and mix up the textures. You could also make them separate, using their individual recipes and then add them together in the same pan, you might have to adjust the cooking temperatures and keep checking on it, but it should come out okay. Also, i am not sure about substituting evap milk for water. I think it calls for water because its supposed to help thin out the mix. And why evaportaed milk? if anything i would use plain milk for added creaminess, if that is what you are going for.

Also, if you are interested, you can substitute apple sauce for the oil the recipe calls for. Apple sauce is lower in fat than oil.

  5. ok, here's the best dessert ever...take sam's idea of marbling and then top with nutella for the icing...mmmmmmmm

    i'm off to the store.....

  6. if you go by the brownie they only bake 20 to 25 mins....and the cake is 35 to 40... it prob won't get done..

it prob won't work any way cause you would have to much powered stuff and not enough liq.

  7. Not to discourage you, but it won't come out very good.  You will probably end up with a rather dense, not-very-chocolaty cake.  If you use evaporated milk instead of the water, it will help the cake be more moist, but it would be better to just use the yellow cake mix and the evaporated milk, and then make some chocolate frosting for it...and save the brownie mix for next time.

  8. I don't know. I'm trying to lose weight. It sounds fatty!
