What would happen if i used car fuel for my lighter?

It works I use regular fuel 93 octane for my zippo lighter.

If you are talking about one of those old school Zippo lighters that you filled with liquid lighter fluid, gasoline will work just fine.  This is what soldiers on the front line used through out WWII.  You didn't think they had access to lighter fluid did you?  Of course, you need to realize that gasoline is much more volatile than lighter fluid (which is a heavy naphtha) and take appropriate precautions.

Your lighter would melt and explode, or at least burn. Gasoline packs about 15 times the energy as lighter fluid, and is much more combustible.

None of these sounds like a good idea. When I ran out of lighter fuel with no replacement available, I got by for a little while by refueling my Zippo with isopropyl alcohol (and using a solar cigarette lighter during the day). I was toying with the idea of trying charcoal stating fluid, which, unlike lighter fluid, was available where I was.

Probably nothing. The usual butane is much more volatile than gasoline and it is butane gas that burns. Gasoline probably won't evaporate quickly enough to sustain a flame.

It would only work in a Zippo type lighter and it will burn a little rich because it containes more carbon than lighter fluid. However It will not work in a Bick lighter. Because the bioling point of gasoline is to high. The lower boiling of the liquid butaine lighter fluid creates pressure inside of the lighter that alows the butaine gases to exit the lighter at a high velocity that creates a low pressure that draws atmospheric air for a leaner faster burning flame.
