  1. It's possible the baby would have a short NICU stay, to ensure the breathing and eating and bathrooming were on track, and to help the baby gain some weight if needed. It really just depends on the baby and how developed the lungs are and how big it is.

  2. He or she would probably have to stay in the NICU for a while and have some help breathing. It really depends on the baby.

  3. your baby should be fine, your almost full term anyways

  4. Generally speaking, babies born at 35 weeks and beyond are perfectly fine. That's why most doctors will not try to stop it if you go into labor at that point. In the case that his/her lungs were not developed (which they should be) the baby would be given a shot and probably wouldn't even need to be on a respirator.

  5. At 35 weeks they will give you a steroid for the babies lungs. Other than that most babies at 35 weeks are healthy and most of them get to go home very soon as long as there are no breathing problems.

  6. It would depends greatly on how big your baby was and how developed the lungs are. Premies are kept until they are at least 5 pounds and breathing, eating and going to the bathroom consistently.

  7. It all depends on the baby, weight, if the lungs are formed, etc

  8. my daughter was born 35 weeks 3 days and she had to stay in the NICU for 2 weeks she ws only 3lbs 15ozs other then that she was very healthy

  9. He/she is almost full term, in fact, some are even induced by then because doctors know it will not harm the baby - they are so very almost ready to come out on their own. Your baby should be fine! Even if there were a few (probably very minor!!!) complications, any hospital should be equipped to deal with it because the baby is only about a month early, babies have a 16% chance of survival at 23 weeks! That is already a huge percentage, so imagine what it would have leaped to by 35 weeks!

  10. It depends on the baby. I mean the doc would try to stop the labor. But if you went and the baby was at least 5 pounds and could breath on his own he should be fine.
