  1. Assuming the head lights don't explode from traveling at the speed of light, if the car is traveling at the speed of light.  And the light from your headlights is also traveling at the speed of light, you would not be able to see it coming because by the time the light reaches your eye to be viewed, the car will also be wrapping around you.

  2. you would be able to see where you have been.

  3. well uh if you traveled at the speed of light you would get ripped off andyour car would get ripped away lol. BUT if we werent thinking about that, no lol. coz everything would be going to quickly.

    test it out go to a long country road with bushes and then go about 30-40mph (check the speed limit lol) and youll see when the bushes go by you you would hardly see them. i tried that when my mum was driving.........

  4. The speed of light remains the same in all frames of reference [Galilean Relativity]. So you will surely be able to recognise the place you are driving the car.

  5. Nothing,as the light source is travelling at the speed of light, the light emitted would be twice the speed of light.

  6. Yes, the light is emitted relative to "your" speed.

    TIME OUT ! ! !

    .  .  .  .  None of these questions should have a thumbs down, if you ask a question, it is courtesy to at leave thumbs UP - especially if some troll dropped their mangy little worthless thumb.

    EVERYBODY GETS A THUMBS UP!!!

  7. Most answers here are wrong. The speed of light is constant in any frame of reference. So if you turned your headlights on when going at the speed of light, you would still see the light shinning ahead of you. You can't slow the light down by trying to catch up with it.

  8. Nothing special from your point of view. An observer on a planet outside your car, will notice, that the light moves at the same speed as your car - light speed. That is because of the addition of velocities at high speeds.

  9.   The light accelerate away for about 1 cm and then the light build up would burn out your head lights.

  10. I don't think it would do you much good if you were going forward, but if you drove around in circles backwards maybe you could see them... a little, maybe? The real question, though, is if you were going that fast in your car, would you be getting amazing or terrible gas mileage? It could go either way...

  11. 1. the universe would contract upon itself at a speed that increases towards the speed of light because as you accelerate your mass, and therefore gravity increases. at light speed mass, and therefore gravity, become infinite. but thats besides the point.

    2. the light from your headlights would travel outwards from your car at c relative to you. relative to someone else watching you, and not moving, time would stop for you, and light would still be moving outwards from your car at c.

    this is one of einsteins many breakthroughs. its called the special theory of relativity.

    EDIT: after reading all the answers, i am ashamed at all of yahoo. i have seen maybe 2 or 3 right answers. the speed of light stays constant at all speeds, no matter your frame of reference. this is because as you accelerate towards light speed, time slows down for you from the point of view of an outside observer traveling slower. just to enforce that my answer is correct, ill give you the equation that governs time dilation/relative mass.

    t=t0/sqrt(1-v^2/c^2).

    t0=time being dilated.

    t=amount of time a person not moving will experience in the time a person moving experiences time t0.

    v=difference in velocity between the 2 references points (person moving and a person not moving).

    c=the speed of light.

  12. Based on the theory of relativity, if something is going the exact same speed as you, it appears motionless.  Having said this, when you are going the speed of light, and you turn on the headlights, you would see the light appear, but it would not appear to go anywhere because it is going the same speed as you.

  13. dunno.

    I just here 4 the points

  14. In this case

    1.You can loose your life

    2.You cannot see any thing in-front of you because even if you see anything infront of your car you cannot save it.

    3.This situation is not good for any age.

    4.Travelling at the speed of lght is not so far.

  15. WTF Dont confuse me like that

  16. dunno probably be an explosion
