  1. I would wake up the next day with one heck of a hang over!!!!

  2. all you have to do in overtime for football is score whether its by a field goal or a TD eventually one team would just make atleast a field goal if they got good field position on a punt or something. So this situation would never happen, NFL OT almost never goes into even double OT.

  3. agreed, i'd love to watch a game like that

  4. I think that after so long they would have to do a sudden death.

  5. The next day, they would have to call a national holiday, because nobody would report to work !

  6. nope... they'd just keep playing.

  7. no...they would call it the best game ever

  8. Then the game would last longer. They would still play until somebody wins.

  9. They keep playing one sudden death quarter after the other until someone finally wins.  Kind of like that Penguins-Flyers Stanley Cup Playoff game the other year that went into 5 overtimes.

  10. no tie someone wins and this would not happen

  11. They would keep playing it until someone wins. It is also unlikely that the Superbowl would go "over and over" for an extremely long time in overtime. Eventually one defense would in general start to run low on adrenaline and the opposing offense would be able to get their kicker within feild goal range.

Or the longer the game goes in OT, the more likely it is that the QB on one of the teams will throw an interception or someone will fumble, and the defense if they don't score the TD, gets their team within feild goal range to win it.

  12. The longest playoff game in NFL history was a divisional playof game between Kansas City and Miami played on Christmas Day in 1971. The game went in a 2nd overtime before the Dolphins won 27-24. The time of the game was 1 hour 22 minutes, 40 seconds.

Because of this precedent the Super Bowl wold continue until one team emerged with a win.

  13. They play until someone wins.  There are no ties in the postseason, including the SB.

  14. they would keep playing. but u dont have to worry about that because football almost never goes into OT in the NFL
