What would happen if the US Government asked civilians to wear dogtags?

I lived in Las Vegas in the 1950s when children were required to wear dogtags because of the testing at a nearby military installation.

Does anyone else remember those days?

  1. I already carry an ID everywhere I go, I wouldn't care about wearing a dogtag unless it had GPS in it or something.

Everybody jumps to Revelation when people talk about these things.  Do they not know that there is a line in Ezekiel somewhere about God marking the righteous with a sign on their forehead?  I guess you can't use that line to scare anybody though, now can you?

  2. Well, It would be very much like the book of revalations, which says every one will need a personal ID to buy or sell. but It would be pretty weird!~~~

  3. It's called RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification). It's coming...

    See here: http://www.rfidjournal.com/

I suspect most folk will simply line up and be numbered, like the sheep they are. The rest will be declared criminal.

  4. I can't remember it because it was long before my birth, and I've never even heard of it...but it seems the US did a few things in that era that they don't want in the history books.

To answer the Q, I would revoke my petition for citizenship,

    and move on.

The more intimately I get to know America, the more I am surprised by it's loose definitions of freedom!

  5. don't remember that but not at all surprised..

think the govt would go further then dogtags & use microchips like we do with animals..  the next would be we'd have a G..?? locater to know everyones whereabouts...

Then I'm outta here..Bye Bye Freedom

  6. I suppose most civilians would go 'barking mad' at the prospect...lol...

  7. You're behind the times. In 2008 they want to require you to carry a national "Real  ID" card with biometric data and goodness knows what else. Big Brother doesn't want to watch-he wants YOU to tell him where you are.
