  1. Water at the equator would rise, water at the poles would be lower.  Similar for weights.

  2. the earth attracts every thing with a specific amount of gravitational force. this force is balanced by the centripital force and the vice versa. now, if the earth spins faster, the centripital force increases, destroying the balance between the gravity and the centripital force. as the result, every matter in earth would hurl out of the earth tangentially.

to make it a bit easy, if u spin a stone tied to a string, it will show a centripital movement. but if you spin it fast enough, the string might eventually break, throwing the stone tangentially away. comparing this to the above situation, the stone is us, the string is the earth's gravitational force, and the centripital motion is our spinning.

in clear words, if that happens, we would be screwed.

  3. it's like time fast forwarded.

  4. Well the first thing you would notice... is the days would get shorter... high and low tides would not last as long and it would take less propulsion for rockets to enter orbit.

If it began spinning really, Really, REALLY fast, the earth would end up shaking us off like a bad case of fleas....

  5. The days would get shorter and we would weigh slightly less.

  6. Less hours per day.  Orbit change would change the calendar. Everthing would weigh less (gas mileage would improve).  Water levels would raise.
