  1. there is so much oil in this planet it would take billions of years to run out

  2. Mel Gibson starred in a critically acclaimed documentary on the topic in the early 80s called 'The Road Warrior' that you should really see.  It takes a long, hard look at the socioeconomic effects of oil depletion and the possibility of wars being fought over a single tank of gas.  Long before Michael Moore came out with his silly wannabe-activist films, this stands even today as a pillar of forward thought and I think was the spark that ignited the modern environmentalist movement.  That film answers the question much better than I could myself.

  3. beleive it or not, it is not entirely possible to completely run out. the earth is constantly replenishing its self with new resources (some of them). Oil came from dead creatures over millions of years, we only just discovered its use and started consuming it at a much much faster rate than at what the earth produces it. Think of it in the sense that there is a water faucet refilling its self with a drop of water every few seconds, but you decide to drink an entire glass of it when ever possible, the faucet cant keep up with how much you want to drink. Some of you are probably going to give a thumbs down, but do your research first, because im not BS'ing.

  4. Well considering oil is necessary for the production of firearms and for electronics (they use it to make the plastic insulation on wires and for circuit boards) chances are there would be less war.  I dunno maybe we'll fight with sticks and stones.

  5. i think there would be a little bit of fighting (if there were reserves left), but i think it would actually unite the globe under a global problem.

  6. Depends on how many billions of R&D the US government has put into making solar powered tanks etc.  More likely oil companies would finally decide that maybe another energy market might be more prudent to exploit and all the hydrogen and solar power vehicles that they have been politically blocking for two decades will get built.

  7. Probably be many less wars.   What would there be to fight over?   How would we fight even if we wanted to, nukes?   Not going to run many 10 gallon per mile tanks on bio-diesel.

  8. They would fire up every moonshine still across the country to have fuel enough to continue a war.

Just like Hitler's Germany Did in WW II.

  9. no more islam terrorist as all the shakes of arab will become beggers
