Of the same party of course. Would there be a continued election? Would the remaining nominees be automatically nominated?

  1. Yes and probably yes

  2. I don't know about you but I would laugh like h**l....

  3. They would get some idiot to put in

  4. No, It would not. The process would have to be done all over again. The VP is a "pick" at this stage and not an elected position. Everything would be delayed, and the process would start all over.

  5. I would become president.

  6. Speaker of the house would take over

  7. There would probably be a long recess supported by both parties (how would that look if one party said "no extra time, lets get it on").  They would give, whichever party, more time to consider another ticket.  They would look pretty bad if they tried to continue the race without showing respect for the passing of fellow American politicians.  If not it would show how separated we are as a nation.

  8. http://tinyurl.com/usgov

  9. And another death question.  Aren't you people afraid that the secret service might become suspicious of all these weird assassination and dropping dead questions?  It's creepy.

  10. Theoretically, they would have to have another convention. I mean, I don't know if they would just give it to the runner up. It's not like Miss America

  11. God forbid such a scenario! However; the running mate would carry on the General Election.
