Don't say that it's unlikely for that to happen. I want to know what would happen IF they collide.

  1. ka boooooom!!.

  2. Probably cosmic blast... Results in the enormous amount of cosmic radiation...

  3. KABOOOOOOM

  4. well a lot of people so far gave you false info,so I'm gonna straighten things out for you,it all depends on the stars that collide.it could produce the most energetic blast in the universe, known as a gamma ray burst or grb for short.it is cased when to neutron stars collide and it makes for a blast of gamma rays(the most energetic radiation in the universe)they where unknown until a military satellite who's purpose was to detect gamma rays on earth caused by nuclear bomb testing.and what they discovered instead was hardly terrestial, they later found that it was coming from the depths of space, but t was a mystery for decades into recently.and its still a little bit of a mystery.and the case when a pair of neutron stars collide is known as a short-duration gamma ray burst.and also there is something called a blue straggler found in globular clusters they don't fit in with the other stars and have a distinct turn off point on HRdiagram believed to be caused by the collision of the older stars found in globular clusters and really don't fit in with the other stars.

  5. stars have a chances of collide,  if the their orbiting galaxeis where hit together... according to the astronomers if two galaxies where hit each other they may be form a bigger one .... as looking in this situation... we can say that when two stars collide they may creat a great blast but still will continue to orbit the  formation of the bigger one(galaxy) ...and later..would combined their masses and creat a bigger one stars.....

  6. I'm not going to say it's unlikely for two stars to collide .... i AM going to say it's impossible, go study physics.

  8. If one is big and the oter is small then the smaller one would be completely shattered while the bigger one would be less damaged.

  9. I believe, not much special - stars are just balls of gas and will just merge into one. Possibly together with a large supernova, as all fusion processes will be disturbed.

I have not yet found any research or simulation about that topic, but this observation sounds like I believe at least in some cases correctly.

  10. Presently there are 2 galaxy;s colliding. That could be many suns...

  11. Stars collide or get so close to each other that they merge, all the time. The result of which is the creation of new planets, moons, asteroids, etc.

All our planets are the result of collisions and even our moon is the resulf of a collision between 'something' and earth.

While the universe expands, galaxies in the same clutter tend to move toward each other and will eventually collide. That will happen with our Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy.

The universe is nothing but a series of collisions, actually. Without that, solid planets couldn't be found because those elements like metal are created in the heart of the stars.
